Before you start to evaluate who won a trade, you obviously need to see the players fit into their respective teams and start to measure production and efficiency in a calculated way. That obviously isn't an option right now, so we won't get into the details of that.
What we CAN speculate about is how much Dan Gilbert got in return for a player who publicly wanted away, mocked his teammate on a dance floor, and isn't going to want to come back and play for his team next season. To get back a Top 5 MVP candidate last season and a potential top lottery pick is a great haul for Dan Gilbert.
