What actually happened to the New England Patriots is simple. In the NFL, unlike college, the margins between teams is often not more than a few points either way. A motivated Chiefs team ran up against a cocky and depleted Patriots team (not excuses, facts) that was too slow and came out with their heads up their asses. Full of themselves. It didn't work, and they lost.
