We want to first share our best wishes to the family, friends, and individual who was struck by the foul ball yesterday in the Yankee game. This is a horrible and tragic incident that the MLB needs to find ways to prevent from happening.
They are doing so immediately.
From Ken Rosenthal - Commissioner Rob Manfred: "The events at yesterday's game involving a young girl were extremely upsetting for everyone in our game. Over the past few seasons MLB has worked with our clubs to expand the amount of netting in our ballparks. In light of yesterday's event, we will redouble our efforts on this important issue."
This is great to hear, but also something that might be too late for one person.
Let's make sure it gets done before there is another.
