The Chicago Cubs are down 0-2 to the Los Angeles Dodgers going into Game 3 of the NLCS, and Doug Gottlieb thinks Joe Maddon is to blame. Last night, Dodgers' third baseman, Justin Turner, hit a walk-off 3-run homerun off of Cubs' pitcher, John Lackey. Remember, John Lackey is not usually a relief pitcher, and he pitched the night before, but Maddon felt it was the right decision and was proven wrong.
Gottlieb doesn't understand how Maddon has gotten away with poor decision making for 2 years now. He understands the Cubs won the World Series last year, but it took the Indians to blow a 3-1 series lead for it to happen. Maddon has made skeptical choices in these playoffs and last night was the tipping for Gottlieb. You can listen to his whole breakdown below.
