The NFL Just Doubled Down On Screwing Teams Over

The Jets lost a close game to the Patriots on Sunday by a score of 24-17. That would not have been the case, however, if referees had not overturned a late touchdown scored by Jets TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins. Upon review, referees ruled that the Jets tight end had fumbled the ball out of bounds in the end zone before ruling it a touchback for the Patriots.

The NFL leaned on a rule that has a long history of screwing teams over and Sunday was no different. It was a horrendous call and the reasoning behind the decision was even worse.
