Running is Not Worth the Risk for a QB

Shortly before halftime of the Thursday Night game between the Ravens and the Dolphins, Joe Flacco took off running for a first down & attempted to slide at the last second. Dolphins LB Kiko Alonso came in hot and delivered a brutal blow to Flacco's head. Flacco was bleeding from the ear and left the game as he entered concussion protocol. He is likely to miss at least one game, maybe more.

This is something that Clay Travis is seeing all too often in the NFL. With how rare and important good QB play is to the NFL, Clay speculates that if he were a head coach, that he would not allow his talented QB to run the ball. The risk is simply not worth the reward unless your season is on the line.
