“Jon Gruden is legitimately in the mix at Tennessee. There are a lot of big dollar boosters that believe Gruden in the answer to all of their problems and that he can come back and return Tennessee football, a top 10 program historically, to glory.”
Clay Travis thinks Jon Gruden is at the top of Tennessee’s big board when it comes to their next head coach to replace recently-fired Butch Jones. Although the Volunteers haven’t won 10 games in a decade, Travis compares the current state of the program to the mediocrity Nick Saban took over at Alabama in 2007, who much like Tennessee, was considering a sleeping giant with a brand name holding loads of potential.
