The Boston Celtics defeated the Golden State Warriors 92-88 on Thursday night and picked up their 14th-straight victory. It is hard to believe the hottest team in the league is the same team that lost one of their high-priced free agent acquisitions on opening night. While Boston and the rest of the NBA world panicked, Jason Smith and Mike Harmon remained the voice of reason for fans nationwide.
Gordon Hayward is a scorer, and luckily, the Celtics had plenty of talent available to replace the one-dimensional power forward. Boston has had no trouble thriving without him, and beating the best team in the NBA just proves to the rest of the world that the Celtics will in fact, be just fine.
