Oakland Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch again sat during the U.S. national anthem on Sunday against the New England Patriots in Mexico City. Lynch hasn't stood for the Star-Spangled Banner since he came out of retirement before the season, so his choice to sit was far from newsworthy. However, while Lynch sat during the U.S. national anthem, he chose to stand at attention during the playing of the Mexican national anthem.
Wait, what?!?
The Mexican government is and always has been more oppressive and lacking in human rights than U.S. If it wasn't, wouldn't Americans be swimming across the river to Mexico instead of the other way around? Clay Travis believes Marshawn Lynch should be ashamed of himself for sitting during the U.S. national anthem and then standing for the Mexican national anthem, and that Lynch deserves to be ridiculed for his decision.
