“If I owned the Oakland Raiders and I had a guy who was this limited in his production and I saw him not stand up for the United States National Anthem and then stand up for the Mexican National Anthem I would cut him.”
Clay Travis says Marshawn Lynch should not only be ruthlessly ridiculed for his actions prior to the Raiders/Patriots game in Mexico City that included the Oakland running back sitting in protest for the Star Spangled Banner and yet standing in support of Himno Nacional Mexicano, Travis thinks the unjustified publicity stunt should cost the often controversial personality his job.
Travis says Lynch spurning the American National Anthem while supporting the Mexican National Anthem in a country that has long been plagued by a dark history of human rights violations, is a publicity nightmare for any NFL owner, and certainly one that couldn’t be concealed behind a 31-year-old past his prime running back who’s only rushed for 397 yards this season.
