Sam Darnold came into the 2017 season as the highest-rated, and most talked-about quarterback in college football. The high expectations placed upon the sophomore gunslinger has not translated to a season of accolades, and many believe Darnold should spend another season in a Trojan uniform.
Jason McIntyre makes the argument that whether or not Sam Darnold has thrown more picks than scouts would like, he is still the top pick in the upcoming NFL Draft. Another season in college could do major damage to his draft stock if he suffers a serious injury or regresses. Jason says it should be an easy decision for Darnold to come to the conclusion that he's best off making the leap to the NFL in 2018 and collecting a major paycheck while doing so.
