Former Tennessee coach Phillip Fulmer was hired today to replace John Currie as the new Athletic Director for the University of Tennessee. Fulmer happens to be extremely close with former Volunteeers QB and future Hall of Famer Peyton Manning. Steve and Jeffrey Gorman are absolutely positive that Manning will be heavily involved in the ongoing coaching search in Knoxville, TN. Manning wants nothing more than to change the culture at the University of Tennessee and bring back positive headlines to the former SEC power.
With a major part of Tennessee's dysfunction getting the axe today, Fulmer and Manning will help bring the university the right coach for the job and finally establish relevance that has been absent for far too long.
