After a disappointing 2016 campaign, Drew Brees and the Saints reinvented their offensive strategy, relying more on the run than they have during Brees' entire tenure with the team. Add a capable defense, and the Saints were one of the favorites to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl.
Fast forward to yesterday, and all of the hard work looked lost until Drew Brees put on a vintage display of himself in the second half giving the Saints a late lead against the Case Keenum led Vikings. We all know how that game ended with a "once in a lifetime" moment for the Vikings, none of which involved the Saints quarterback. Brees stepped up and didn't disappoint, but unfortunately that couldn't be said for the rest of the team and coaching staff. Colin says the Saints have once against robbed their star quarterback at a chance to add to his legacy.
