Peter Gammons: Sammy Sosa Needed Roids to be Good

Iconic baseball insider Peter Gammons was on The Rich Eisen Show talking about how Hall of Fame voters will eventually become a lot more sympathetic with alleged steroid users, but emphasized the idea that voters will subjectively take into account which players were actually HOF-caliber talents even before they took PED’s.

One name Gammons mentioned as having no chance at the Hall is Sammy Sosa, who Gammons said needed the PED boost to become the superstar player he was in the late 90's and early 00's, unlike guys like Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, and Alex Rodriguez, who were the best players in baseball before they cheated.
