It was reported earlier in the week that ESPN is approaching Peyton Manning to take over for Jon Gruden in the Monday Night Football broadcast booth. Ben Maller doesn't think Manning would be as good as everyone thinks.
Maller points out that Manning is your classic pitch man. While he may be pleasant for 30 seconds as he tries to sell a product or service, his persona would be insufferable over the course of 3 hours. Also, Peyton would be hesitant to be negative towards anyone.
