The NBA's post-season is designed to crown the best team in basketball, but getting the top two teams to face off in the Finals has been a problem for a while now. NBA Commissioner Adam Silver seems open to the idea of fixing the problem even if it means altering the playoff format. At a press conference during All-Star Weekend, Silver admitted that he would be open to abolishing the Western and Eastern Conference and instead having a playoff format where the top 16 teams in the entire league will face off at the end of the season.
Steve and Jeffrey Gorman say that such a change would be thrilling for the NBA and bring about a more exciting and competitive post-season.
