Spurs coach Gregg Popovich just said he’d be surprised if Kawhi Leonard (quad) returns to play this season, adding, “If, by some chance, he’s ready late in the [regular] season then it’s going to be a tough decision.”
Pop continued – “I’m just trying to honest and logical…We’ve got to move on. Wishing and hoping doesn’t do anybody any good.”
Leonard, a former Finals MVP with San Antonio, has only been able to play 9 games this season, after averaging 25 points per game the previous year.
