Anfernee "Penny" Hardaway is set to be introduced as the new head coach of the Memphis Tigers on Tuesday. Clay Travis thinks that Memphis is taking a huge risk by giving Hardaway the keys to the kingdom. It is rare for a standout high school coach to be given the reigns of a college program and in the few instances it has happened, it didn't work out.
The difference this time around is that Penny is a hometown hero. Born and raised in Memphis, Penny went on to play for the Memphis Tigers as well. Wish such a rich history in the area, Clay thinks that Penny will have a definite advantage in recruiting. Only time will tell if the rest works out.
