The Miami Heat fined center Hassan Whiteside an undisclosed amount Sunday for "comments detrimental to the team" shortly after Miami's 110-109 loss to the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday. Whiteside criticized the organization he plays for after their decision to match the Nets when they went to a small lineup, saying they have "one of the best centers in the league."
Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra claims that the team has moved on from his harsh comments, but Steve Gorman says Whiteside could be causing more trouble than he's worth. The 28 year old star is still struggling to find his voice within the locker room and is clearly behind the eight ball in regards to knowing how to lead a team.
