The Red Sox Can't Count on David Price

Red Sox pitcher David Price was blown up against the Yankees on Wednesday and left the game after only 1 inning of work due to "numbness in hand." After the game, manager Alex Cora said that he expects David Price to be fine in the long run.

Whether or not that is true, Ben Maller thinks it is clear that the Red Sox cannot count on David Price. The club needs to be able to thrive without him, because when it comes to it down the stretch, chances are that Price will either be sidelined or completely ineffective.
