After being eliminated by the Utah Jazz, Carmelo Anthony was asked if he would be ok with a bench role on the Thunder. Carmelo said he'd be willing to do whatever it takes in certain situations, but long term he would not be ok with that type of role, because that's not what he was brought in for.
Ben Maller thinks that Carmelo's stock has fallen so far that he doesn't really have any other choice than to stay with the Thunder if he wants to get paid anything near what he will get from OKC. So in other words, Carmelo should just suck it up and take whatever role the Thunder offer.
