It wasn't too long ago that LeBron James and Steph Curry were seen as friends. Early in Steph's career, LeBron would regularly go out of his way to praise the sharpshooter. Curry was seen as that babyfaced point guard with the sweet jumper, a nice player to be sure but far from a superstar capable of dethroning The King.
And then Steph beat LeBron in the Finals in 2015.
And then Steph became the first unanimous MVP in 2016.
And then Steph beat LeBron in the Finals again in 2017.
And now Steph is expected to beat LeBron for a 3rd time in 2018.
In short, Steph has evolved into much more than just a threat to LeBron. In many ways, Curry has already dethroned the King. And now, the once-friendly relationship has turned very icy.
