When news broke last week that Kawhi Leonard had requested a trade to the Lakers, fans all across the city started getting giddy about the possibility of Kawhi, LeBron James and Paul George teaming up together in Los Angeles.
And then reality set in.
Do we really want to break up the young core for these guys? Ok, we'll give them Kyle Kuzma and the Luol Deng contract, but we have to keep Brandon Ingram. Well, even if we do get all 3 guys, we need more shooting. Do you think Paul George would be okay being the third option?
Mark Willard says if the Lakers are serious about going Big Game hunting this off-season, it's going to hurt a little bit, and he wonders aloud if the Lakers might be better served with just two of the LeBron James, Kawhi Leonard and Paul George trio instead of all 3
