Doug Gottlieb and Jason Smith filled in this morning on the Dan Patrick Show, and got into a heated debate regarding DeMarcus Cousins and his decision to sign with the Warriors on a 1-year, $5.3 million deal. Cousins said one of the reasons why he chose Golden State was because he hadn't received a single offer from any other team, and he actually had to pitch himself to Warriors management.
Jason believes that Cousins' claims about not receiving a single offer were overblown, but Doug believes that Cousins' bad reputation and injury history definitely limited his market in free agency, and explains why the Warriors were really the only team that made sense for him.
