You Shouldn't Be Surprised By Baker Mayfield's Performance

Week One of the NFL Preseason is in the books and the debut that many are still talking about is Baker Mayfield's stellar performance against the New York Giants. The Cleveland Browns Rookie QB threw for over 200 yards and 2 Touchdowns in his first NFL action. The most common reaction from fans and media was shock that Mayfield could actually play. But why is it that so many were taken aback by Mayfield's effort. He did win the Heisman, had stellar numbers in college and took his team to the College Football Playoff twice.

Jonas Knox explains why the reaction to Baker Mayfield's debut is what most surprised him about Week 1 of the Preseason. He says the reaction to the performance showcases a mental block that NFL fans and media members have when it comes to the Cleveland Browns Organizations
