The NFL's new, and appropriately controversial, helmet rule hasn't had many vocal proponents through the first few preseason games of 2018. Unfortunately, that didn't stop the league from patting themselves on the back.
In a statement released this afternoon, NFL Executive V.P. of Football Operations Troy Vincent said that there will be no changes to the helmet rule. Today, on The Doug Gottlieb Show, FOX NFL Rules Analyst Dean Blandino discussed the league's statement and why he has no problem with the rule except for the implementation of it thus far.
