Lance Stephenson Will Try to Be Friends with LeBron James

LeBron James arrived in Los Angeles over the summer (In case you've been living under a rock). James is set to dawn the purple and gold this 2018-19 season for the Lakers. He'll be playing alongside the Lakers' young core in Brandon Ingram, Kyle Kuzma, Josh Hart and Lonzo Ball. He'll also be playing alongside some seasoned vets. Two of them have championship pedigree in JaVale McGee and Rajon Rondo. The third of this bunch is Lance Stephenson. Who is Lance? Let's go back in time.

It's safe to say the possibility of LeBron James and Lance playing on the same team is NOT a pairing anybody who watches the game would see happening, BUT It's NOT surprising. Think about how LeBron does episodes of his Barbershop Series where he and Golden State Warriors' Draymond Green are in the same room. There's quite a bit of game tape of their battles on and off the court. Not only does it show that players leave all the competitiveness on the court, but it also shows that considering the battles LeBron and Draymond have had, they seem better than just friends.

Enter Lance Stephenson into the equation, and you now have a player who has to make friends with a guy he tried to torment at every opportunity. Watch below as Lance reminisces about that "blow into LeBron's ear" incident.

No doubt LeBron will get along with Lance and work with him one way or another. LeBron is just that good of a player. LeBron and Kyrie Irving may have had their differences, but they were a terror on the court. The challenge Lance Stephenson has going forward is will he take all the grit he brought to LeBron in the past and apply that to the opposing team's best player...
