Jets Fans Should Celebrate That Kirk Cousins Turned Them Down

Footage was released today of Kirk Cousins turning down a 3-year $90M guaranteed offer from the New York Jets in favor of taking his talents to Minnesota for less money. While it may seem embarrassing, noted Jets fan Jason Smith says it's quite the opposite.

With the Jets without a franchise quarterback, they were able to select Sam Darnold in the 2018 NFL Draft with money to spare on retooling the roster. It seems crazy to say, but Cousins turning down the New York Jets might be the best thing to happen to them in years.
