The Oakland Athletics are on the verge of revolutionizing baseball...again. The franchise that was immortalized in "Money Ball" for their use of analytics will try a new venture in their American Wild Card Game against the New York Yankees. Instead of a traditional starting pitcher, the A's will utilize a bullpen approach in an effort to compete at the level of Yankees ace Luis Severino.
On the other side, Yankees manager Aaron Boone just made the biggest, and maybe only, decision he's had to make all season. Whether or not Luis Severino performs well in the wild card game on Wednesday, there is no doubt that Boone will be sweating over his choice.
