“Alabama’s season comes down to the LSU game... If I’m Nick Saban, I’m trying to make sure that I go into LSU as healthy as I possibly can in what you know is going to be an incredibly violent game in Baton Rouge."
-- Clay Travis.
Even though a formerly comatose Tennessee Volunteers team pulled off one of the bigger upsets of the year last week against #21 Auburn, Clay Travis says Alabama should take no gambles with Tua Tagovailoa’s knee sprain in two weeks when the Tide next take the field in their annual rivalry game with Tennessee.
Although Travis said the Crimson Tide offense under Tua compared with the Alabama offense under Jalen Hurts is the difference between HD and standard definition television, Travis thinks the Crimson Tide will still easily thrash a .500 Tennessee team that was blown out by West Virginia, Florida, and Georgia.
As for the Heisman Trophy, Travis says voters won’t remember that Tagovailoa didn’t play during a blowout win over Tennessee, and there’s plenty of more opportunities for the sophomore phenom to earn his ‘Heisman Moment.’
