“Odell Beckham Jr is on his way to being Terrell Owens… A great player who was also a quarterback killer.”
-- Clay Travis.
Clay Travis thinks the Giants have finally reached the end of their rope with Odell Beckham Jr as owner John Mara finally had to come out and say that he thinks Beckham should do his talking on the field, rather than off it.
Beckham Jr has been one of the most productive wide receivers in the league since his rookie season in 2014, but the team has slowly plummeted to pathetic levels the last two years, with the biggest storylines coming from the Giants being in the form of ‘What did Odell Beckham do this time?’
With Saquon Barkley quickly becoming the focal point of the New York offense, Clay thinks it’s time to trade the former Pro Bowler in an attempt to build around the superstar rookie running back and move away from the diva wide receiver.
And with the team almost certainly planning to take a quarterback in the upcoming NFL Draft, Clay says Beckham Jr would be a poisonous elixir to any young quarterback’s development in the coming years.
