Rae Carruth, the Carolina Panthers’ first-round draft choice in 1997, served nearly 19 years in prison. In early 2001, a Charlotte jury convicted Carruth of conspiring to murder Cherica Adams, who was nearly 8 months pregnant with Carruth's son when she was shot 4 times inside her car in late 1999. Adams was Carruth's on-and-off girlfriend.
Clay Travis says that Rae Carruth should still be behind bars and discusses this case from a lawyer's perspective. Clay also asks why there is no outrage coming from anyone in the NFL regarding Carruth's release.
