“Los Angeles sports fans are like ‘If only Donald Trump had been the Dodgers manager, we would have of tied up that series at 2-2!’”
-- Clay Travis.
Clay Travis got a kick out of the perpetually polarizing President tweeting during LA’s mammoth choke job in Game 4 that tilted the tides of the entire World Series, as Dave Roberts’ controversial pitching moves became an infamously indelible moment in Dodgers history.
Donald Trump tweeted that Roberts had made a ‘big mistake’ yanking Rich Hill early in a 4-0 game in favor of a scuffling Dodgers bullpen that been owned by Boston hitters all series, garnering over 147,000 likes from the tweet. The Red Sox would end up scoring 9 runs the next three innings off Dodgers' relievers before prevailing 9-6 to take an insurmountable 3-1 lead in the series.
Clay says it’s probably the first time in Donald Trump’s political career that he’s had an opinion that was actually applauded in the state of California.
