Condoleezza Rice Story is a Result of PC Culture Running Amok

Over the weekend, a story claiming that the Cleveland Browns intended to interview former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice was reported by multiple prominent sports reporters and outlets. Browns President John Dorsey, and Condoleezza Rice herself, have since denied the truth of this report. However, the report did ignite the discussion of if and when the NFL will see a female head coach. Chris Broussard explains how the report linking Rice to the Browns was an example of PC culture running amok, citing her lack of coaching experience as a reason why the report didn't make sense. On the other hand, Rob Parker believes Rice should be seen as a serious candidate in hopes that the Browns would spearhead a movement to shake up traditional coaching structures in the NFL.
