Fox Sports Radio's Rob Parker to Launch New Weekly Baseball Podcast

LOS ANGELES, April 23, 2019 FOX Sports Radio (FSR), a division of Premiere Networks, announced today the launch of a new baseball-themed podcast "Inside the (Rob) Parker", which debuts Wednesday, April 24, on The Herd Podcast Network.

Produced by FOX Sports Radio, "Inside the (Rob) Parker" is a weekly podcast airing throughout baseball season and will feature the multimedia sports personality and journalist as he shares his red-hot opinions on the biggest stories in Major League Baseball, as well as interviews with the most notable names in the game.

New episodes of "Inside the (Rob) Parker" will be available every Wednesday throughout baseball season, and the podcast debuts tomorrow with an interview with eight-time All-Star & four-time World Series Champion Darryl Strawberry.

“Baseball is my first love, my true sports passion,” said Parker, who is a Baseball Hall of Fame voter. “If you think I have hot takes on the NFL and the NBA, wait until you hear them about the national pastime. For sure, it will be fun and informative.”

Parker will continue co-hosting FOX Sports Radio’s The Odd Couple with Chris Broussard, which broadcasts weekdays on nearly 340 stations nationwide from 7-10 p.m. ET. The longtime sports writer is also a regular analyst for several FS1 programs, including The Herd with Colin Cowherd and Skip and Shannon: Undisputed, and writes a column for Visit to download iHeartRadio and listen to Inside the (Rob) Parker on The Herd Podcast Network on your favorite device. About Rob Parker

Rob Parker’s career started with a bang. At 22, he was a full-time sports writer at the Daily News in New York. Along the way, Parker was a trailblazer, becoming the first African American sports columnist at the Detroit Free Press (1993) and at Newsday in New York (1995). In 1993, Parker was the first African American beat writer to cover the Cincinnati Reds for The Cincinnati Enquirer. He was also an award-winning sports columnist at The Detroit News for nine years. In Detroit, Parker had long-running radio show, “Sports Night with Parker and The Man.” On TV, he worked for WDIV Local 4 for 20 years as an analyst and fill-in anchor. At WXYZ TV, he was the 10pm sports anchor in 2016. Parker, a New York native, graduated with a degree in journalism from Southern Connecticut State University and went on to receive a Master’s degree in journalism from Columbia University. In 2018, he was named National Association of Black Journalists Sports Journalist of the Year. Parker joined FOX Sports Radio in March 2018 to host The Odd Couple with Chris Broussard on Sundays, and in just six months, the show was promoted to a weekday timeslot. Today, The Odd Couple with Chris Broussard & Rob Parker broadcasts weekdays from 7-10 p.m. ET, and features dynamic discussion as the two polar opposites take listeners through the biggest hits in sports.
