After being dragged through the mud for his Odell Beckham Jr trade just a month ago, Gettleman was met with near-riots last night when he took Duke’s Daniel Jones with the no. 17 pick.
Even worse than that pick itself may have been the post-draft presser when talking about why he didn’t select Ohio State’s Dwayne Haskins in the first round. Gettleman referred to a story where he scouted Haskins in the ‘Big 12 Championship Game’… A very pathetic slip of the tongue on the BIG TEN’s most iconic school.
