Kevin Durant Doesn't Have to Prove He Can 'Do It On His Own' By Going to NY

Listen to Colin Cowherd explain why he feels like it’s a crock that media members and fans around the NBA are saying that Kevin Durant should leave the Golden State Warriors to join the New York Knicks or Brooklyn Nets to prove he can ‘DO IT ON HIS OWN!’

Durant obviously took his talents to a 73-9 Warriors squad three years ago and joined up with a team who was already considered one of the best ever, but Colin thinks Durant will be immortalized just fine if he continues to win championships and Finals MVPs every year.

Check out the audio below as Colin believes no one will ever hold it against Durant if he doesn’t win a championship for another franchise, and brings up Michael Jordan never winning a playoff series without Scottie Pippen, LeBron never winning a Finals without Kyrie Irving or Dwyane Wade, and Kobe Bryant going out in the first round every year in between the Shaq and Pau Gasol tenures.
