Colin Cowherd: Alex Morgan's Celebration Backlash is Anti-American Jealousy

Alex Morgan has been blasted for mocking England
Colin Cowherd: “For some reason it’s okay when men have bravado. Muhammad Ali: ‘I AM THE GREATEST’. Michael Jordan: punched a teammate. We love when our guys have machismo but if a woman takes a ‘sip of tea’ for one second it’s ‘WHOA, WHOA, WHOA!’ We let our guys have bravado but women get hammered because of this? Steph Curry pretended to poop on the court and half the country thought it was hysterical.”

Listen to Colin Cowherd explain why soccer fans need to get off Alex Morgan’s back for her tea-sipping celebration that trolled England during the United States’ 2-1 World semi finals victory.

There was a bit of derision from international soccer fans who thought it was extremely disrespectful for Morgan to create a celebration that specifically targeted another country’s stereotype.

So what should the USWNT response be? WHO CARES!!

Colin says there has always been this national sense of jealousy around everything American-related, and this is just another classic case of bitter former players and analysts around the world who simply love to find ways to criticize America, whether it be the English angry over Morgan’s celebration, or the Canadians angry the USWNT ran up the score against Thailand.

Check out the audio below as Colin says there is a double-standard when it comes to both women and men celebrating in sports.
