Intoxicated NFL Player Brawls With Cop Inside Gas Station Convenience Store

NFL Draft - Red Carpet

TMZ Sports obtained insane camera footage of former Seattle Seahawks defensive tackle Malik McDowell frantically fighting with a police officer inside a gas station convenience store.

The incident occured in Lathrup Village, Michigan in February, but was just released to the public.

Police were reportedly trying to pull over McDowell after they witnessed the NFL free agent's Jeep speeding and spinning out of control on the snowy roads. McDowell pulled into a gas station but refused to show officers his driving license, instead pleading 'I need to see your supervisor' before exiting his vehicle and walking into the nearby convenience store against officers orders.

The four and a half minute video shows the police officer trying to reason with McDowell and get him to produce his license and registration but McDowell repeatedly told the cop that he needed to 'show more proof' and 'I need a supervisor' before going inside.

After leaving his car, Mcdowell, who's blood alcohol level was .189, over twice the legal limit, then walks into the store, once again repeating 'I need to see your supervisor' over three dozen times while refusing arrest.

What then entails is a wild brawl as the officer tries to handcuff McDowell while grappling with the 6'6', 360-pound defensive tackle.

After repeated warnings that he'll use his taser if McDowell doesn't get on the ground and lay on his stomach, the officer tasers McDowell before three other cops arrive to provide backup and get McDowell secured in handcuffs.

McDowell was finally taken in and charged with two count of assaulting and resisting, one misdemeanor count of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, and driving with a suspended license.
