Arguably the National Football League’s best wideout Odell Beckham Jr. was trending on Twitter Wednesday night after his new haircut and peculiar outfit was one of the biggest talking points at the ESPY Awards.
Beckham is perhaps the league’s most identifiable player, with his notable designer outfits, tattoos, piercings, and signature blonde curls but the former New York sports icon turned Cleveland Browns barnstormer has taken some EXTRA steps into possibly passing Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton for the NFL’s most fashionable player.
His hair was noticeably different with his platinum blonde curls cut off -- a look now-synonymous with OBJ -- but it was his outfit that really got people talking.
Beckham came to the event wearing a Prada vest with a huge oversized pocket in the front with a pair of khaki shorts, and Nike Air Force 1 shoes.
It was only a matter of time before Twitter got hold of the pictures, with hilarious comparisons coming in the likes of Odell looking like a fly fisherman, girl scout troop leader, Kangaroo, hardware store employee, Jansport backpack, and best of all, Teddy Ruxpin (LOL).
The look continued a trend of Beckham showing up to major events in the most noticeably loud outfits, as just two months ago Beckham showed up to the Met Gala in New York City wearing a kilt.
