Kawhi Leonard Gets Heckled By Mob of Lakers Fan at Pacquiao/Thurman Fight

Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Sports 2019 - Show

Two weeks after Kawhi Leonard delivered a fatal blow to the fate of the Los Angeles Lakers for the next decade, their livid loyal fans are still finding ways to vent their frustrations towards the 28-year-old two-time NBA Finals MVP.

While Leonard was leaving Saturday night’s marquee Manny Pacquiao-Keith Thurman fight in the Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, a hoard of Lakers fans started to surround Leonard’s friends and family, yelling insults at the superstar who spurned the Lakers to team up with Paul George on the Los Angeles Clippers.

One man is heard throughout the video calling out to Leonard ‘YOU ARE THE MOST OVERRATED ATHLETE IN THE HISTORY OF PROFESSIONAL SPORTS’, and then heard is screams of ‘GO LAKERS!’.

ESPN's Brian Windhorst reported last week that both the Lakers and Raptors felt like Kawhi 'played them' by leading them on throughout the recruiting process before pulling the rug out from under them at the last second with his decision to join the Clippers.

The Clippers and Lakers rivalry is set to perhaps be one of the greatest rivalries in NBA history with both teams the betting favorites for the 2020 NBA title, but if Leonard had signed with the Lakers he would have been apart of quite possibly the greatest team of all time with himself, LeBron James, and Anthony Davis – a failed dream scenario that Lakers fans can’t seem to live down.

After the Lakers lost out on Leonard the team went forward with signings of DeMarcus Cousins, Danny Green, Avery Bradley, and Jared Dudley, and re-signed Rajon Rondo, JaVale McGee, Alex Caruso, and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.
