Zion Williamson Throws 50-Yard Pass Through Basketball Net at Saints Camp

2019 NBA Draft

NBA phenom Zion Williamson is already considered one of the greatest teenage athletes in sports history with his ability to run the floor like a point guard, and dunk the ball like a springy wing, but you also might want to add ‘Drew Brees-like’ precision passing to his mounting resume as Zion was spotted at New Orleans Saints training camp on Monday.

After hitting the hard wood with some 1-on-1 against Brees over the weekend, the 6’7”, 285-pound Zion was seen practicing with the Saints, even partaking in some drills with the reigning NFC South champions.

The left-handed throwing Zion at one point was throwing hail mary passes into the end zone towards a basketball hoop. The video from the New Orleans Pelicans' official twitter account shows the 19-year-old swishing the football from 50 yards through a portable basketball hoop, while Pelicans head coach Alvin Gentry and Saints players alike go nuts.

The throw was making the rounds on Twitter with some users even suggesting the Saints offer Williamson a contract.

Williamson was once notoriously (and coincidentally) offered a scholarship from Louisiana State University in the Fall of 2016, with one former LSU coach telling ESPN ‘I thought, hell, why not, he’s probably the best damn tight end to ever live.'

Zion says he never considered playing football at the next level and said that his high school didn’t have a football team.
