Rob Parker: Jay-Z Shouldn't Have Partnered With NFL After Kaepernick Saga

Dallas Cowboys v New York Jets
Rob Parker: “People are within their right to push back on Jay-Z and this new deal with the NFL. Jay-Z is now partnering with the same people who did the UNTHINKABLE to Colin Kaepernick, that’s the problem I have. The same people who blackballed a man from playing football, and took away his livelihood because he had the nerve to stand up for that was RIGHT. It’s always like they want to pay you off. 'HERE’S THE CHECK, CAN YOU QUIET DOWN NOW SO WE CAN KEEP DOING WHAT WE’RE DOING?’ You’re letting Roger Goodell and the NFL owners off the hook for what they did.” (FULL Audio at Bottom of Page)

Listen to Rob Parker’s heated rant over the news that music and pop culture mogul Jay-Z was partnering with the NFL, as his Roc Nation company will now form a ‘entertainment and social justice partnership’ with the league.

There was a lot of controversy already, Tuesday, with conflicting reports that had to be redacted and edited throughout the day on what was actually talked about in Jay-Z’s meeting with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell on Tuesday, and how Colin Kaepernick’s name was brought up.

Both Jay-Z and Goodell reportedly said they had talked to Kaepernick before news of the NFL-Jay-Z partnership dropped, but Kaepernick’s girlfriend is denying they ever ‘consulted’ with Kaepernick before teaming up.

Check out the rant below as Rob calls out Jay-Z for getting into bed with the same league who ‘blackballed’ Kaepernick for infamously kneeling during the National Anthem during the 2016 season.
