Colin Cowherd: “Deshaun Watson is amazing but do we all realize this is the Andrew Luck story again?? Have you looked at Watson’s injury history, college and pro? Is he a UFC fighter or a quarterback. It’s like Evel Knievel in the 70’s. This is not going to last. Watson’s physical ailment resume is starting to look like Luck’s. You can’t take hits like this. It’s the same division, the same offensive line issues, the same GM issues, and the same hit issues. This is a quarterback carrying a franchise and it’s not going to end well. You cannot survive in this league playing like Deshaun does, and it’s sad because like Luck, he is an all-time talent.” (Full Audio at Bottom of Page).
Listen to Colin Cowherd explain why he thinks the career of Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson will closely mirror recently retired Andrew Luck’s, as the former Indianapolis Colts franchise quarterback shockingly retired at the age of 29 last month.
Colin believes both players are all-time talents who were methodically destroyed over time as mobile quarterbacks who took repeated beatings over the years on flawed teams with bad offensive lines and incompetent general managers.
Colin details why he doesn’t think Watson will be in the NFL very long, and says his breathtaking, yet physically reckless style of play just can’t survive in the NFL.
