As the Cleveland Browns prepare to face the New York Jets, Odell Beckham Jr. had some choice words for the defensive coordinator of the Jets, Gregg Williams.
OBJ seemed to imply that Williams would advise players to go after the star wide receiver in hopes of causing injury to get him out of the game. This is referring back to an incident in 2017 when OBJ was still with the New York Giants and facing the Browns who had Williams as the coordinator. A player went after OBJ's legs on a catch which immediately sent Beckham to the locker room in pain.
Colin Cowherd makes the point that Odell Beckham Jr. has had this game circled on his calendar. This Jets team, that's currently depleted at quarterback, is ripe for the taking. Cowherd thinks all the noise about wearing a watch is a plan as well as this shot at Williams, and it's going to work.
Listen to Cowherd's take below.
Here's the footage of Odell Beckham Jr. in the preseason in 2017 where a Browns defensive player (under defensive coordinator Gregg Williams) appears to make a play at OBJ's leg rather than the ball.
