Colin Cowherd: “The Cowboys fired Scott Linehan because he was too conservative as a play-caller. We are now saying Kellen Moore is too conservative and predictable. Are they? Or, are they realizing there are things that Dak just can’t do and call plays to help him? When Dak is under center they almost always run and when Dak is out of the shotgun they almost always pass. Predictability is a very bad thing in the NFL. Dak has to win a certain way. If he faces elite defense, it gets ugly really fast.” (Full Video at Bottom of Page)
Listen to Colin Cowherd discuss a recent article written by C. Joseph Wright that did a data crunch on some statistics that exposed the predictability of the Dallas Cowboys' offense behind quarterback Dak Prescott.
Prescott is one of the most polarizing players in the NFL, as the free agent-to-be has a reputation that ranges all the way from people saying he’s an elite top 5-10 quarterback who deserves a massive pay day in the offseason, to people arguing that he’s a game-manager and not even a Top 20 quarterback.
Divisiveness of the sort has made Prescott was one of the most confusing talents to gage in pro football.
Colin believes Dak has begun to get exposed this season as a guy who relies on his offensive coordinators to call conservative games with plenty of low-risk throws, to obviously go with their dominant and imposing running game and offensive line.
Check out the video below as Colin says Dak has become a predictable player that good defenses have figured out.
