Television cameras appeared to pick up audio of Patriots quarterback Tom Brady using the N-Word when greeting legendary Baltimore Ravens safety Ed Reed after New England’s 20-37 loss in Baltimore on Sunday Night Football.
Brady walks up to Reed in the tunnel moments after the game and appears to say ‘Ah man, they gotta bring you here! They know you’re my kryptonite, n****!’ before embracing with Reed.
The NBC broadcast subtitled the exchange as “They know you’re my Kryptonite and they’ve got to bring you back!", as users on Twitter continue to dispute what was actually said in a 'Laurel vs. Yanny' type debate.
Reed was in town receiving his Hall of Fame ring and was honored at halftime.
UPDATE: Ed Reed himself has weighed in on the matter on Twitter, saying Brady did NOT use any expletives when greeting him.
