After ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski broke news that Memphis phenom freshman James Wiseman was going to be deemed ineligible for the 2019/2020 by the NCAA for accepting thousands of dollars in moving expenses from Penny Hardaway in 2018, NBA insider of The Athletic and Stadium Shams Charania is reporting a complete 180, and now saying Wiseman is eligible to play immediately, according to lawyers.
Charania shockingly tweeted: "Potential No. 1 NBA pick James Wiseman is now eligible to play for Memphis, pending further legal proceedings, attorney Leslie Ballin tells @TheAthleticNBA @Stadium."
Wojnarowski then rung in again minutes after the Charania drop, tweeting: "Memphis gets emergency restraining order allowing Wiseman to play against UIC tonight."
