Carmelo Anthony Starts, Drills 3-Pointer in First Shot as a Trail Blazer

Former All-NBA assassin Carmelo Anthony drilled his opening shot as the newest member of the Portland Trailblazers in his first NBA field goal since November 8th, 2018 when he was on the Houston Rockets.

Carmelo was in the starting lineup vs. the New Orleans Pelicans for the teetering 5-9 Blazers as a power forward alongside C.J. McCollum, Hassan Whiteside, Rodney Hood, and Anfernee Simons, as star point guard Damian Lillard was out of action for Anthony’s debut with a back injury.

Anthony is 35-years-old and a ten-time All-Star who signed a non-guaranteed one-year deal with Portland last Thursday.

Anthony will wear '00' for the Blazers.
