At the beginning of the season, Los Angeles Lakers backup forward Kyle Kuzma had his struggles getting on the court after being injured this offseason. Now, Kuzma is healthy and playing some of the best which is getting some attention from other teams around the league.
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Lakers' are planning to keep Kuzma on the roster for the foreseeable future. Although that has been made clear, teams continue to check in with the Lakers to see if anything has changed. As Charania reports, "several teams are doing their due diligence" in regards to a Kuzma deal.
Several teams are doing their due diligence on forward Kyle Kuzma and viewing whether they can pluck the talented 24-year-old as part of their future from the championship-contending Lakers, but the Lakers value Kuzma as a core part of the future and are focused on making moves around the edges and not a major one, league sources say.
Kyle Kuzma averaging 12.2 points and 3.6 rebounds while shooting 35 percent from 3-point range in 25 games so far this season. If the Lakers are true to their word, Kuzma will not be going anywhere.
